Creative processes
Deciding on ideas
Coming up with the concept and movie we were gonna make was fairly difficult as we all had a range of ideas including Pearl Harbour and Batman. It was hard to come up with a conclusion but in the end we unanimously agreed on replicating The Imitation Game.
Collaboration on the project
Collaborating on this project was fairly easy since we were all able to agree on decisions and suggestions/advice was kindly accepted by each team member. For example, Jasper B12 was filming so I suggested taking a shot of the interrogator reading a document instead of revealing their face to create a feeling of suspense. This also made the project a lot easier as the tasks were equally divided with everyone assigned to a role whether it was filming or acting.
Technical Processes
A Camera work Since my role was majorly acting, I did not get a lot of experience on the camera this time. Although it was fun seeing the cinematography techniques we learnt put into practice. There were things such as long shots, close ups,180 angles and also a track shot that did not make it into the final piece. This was done by putting the camera on a bike which then was moved along with the walking character.
B Editing Software
For this I tried to make a History Documentary-like impression since the film was historical. It was also done to recreate some of the BW film scenes in the movie itself.
The editing process was very enjoyable for me since I learnt a lot of new techniques from my friends and Mr.Harrison which could be incorporated into my future works. This included:
-Adjusting the opacity of each clips so there could be overlaps and transitions
-Adding subtitles (file>new>title)
-Editing the subtitle's durations by extending/constricting the title layers
-Animating (zooming in or moving pictures) by clicking the clock icon in effect control
*The clips used have been sourced and credited in the video's description to avoid plagiarism

There are many great tools on Adobe Premier allowing for cool effects in films |

C Audio Equipment
We used smart phones to capture audio clips such as voices and narration. This however was proven not to be the best way since the file had failed to open. Earlier, we had planned on using a voice recording(that file) for the introduction. This idea was aborted and so we switched into using subtitles only which created a sad atmosphere. The second recording succeeded showing that recording materials could range from a phone to an actual voice recording machine. Though I wanted to learn more on how to download voice clips from a recording device to add into the project. For the introduction I had a play with adjusting the volume of details within each clip. This was done by expanding the audio box in premier and later using the Pen tool to adjust volumes for each part.

5.Evaluating the Final Product!!
What Went Well
-Editing and camera work (using different techniques)
- The Soundtrack used and the ending scene
-Mise-en-scene (props, body language), particularly in the machine development and death scenes.
What could've been better
-More emphasis on planning
-The usage of props should've been brought in eg: giving the spy a gun to hold or making the documents look legitimate
-Following deadlines since my part was severely overdue.
6.What would you do differently?
I would plan out the film beforehand and make a story board which correlates with it. Doing so would make tasks easier to follow up to and follow a set date. The confirmation for the project should also be done on the day prior to filming so that the appropriate props can be prepared. This also will allow actors to get a brief time for researching their roles.
